Year 1 have been really busy in English lessons over the last two weeks. We have learnt and performed, to nursery, the rhyme, "Hickory Dickory Dock."

Next, we changed the rhyme to include our favourite animal and then had a go, on our own, at writing our new version.

Year 6 got out and about this week in our school garden to complete a scavenger hunt. They were asked to find a series of items to represent different parts of God's creation. We later learnt that all creation is a gift from God and that it is our responsibility!

Year 4 investigated the journey of food through the digestive system and were able to explain the process using the correct scientific vocabulary. 

The children have enjoyed their few weeks at Nursery. 
In the outdoor area they have been mark making with chalks, squashed blackberries to make paint and enjoyed searching for mini beasts.

In design technology we are going to be designing and making our own smoothies. We have tasted different flavours to help us create a design criteria and today we practised our cutting, chopping and peeling skills. Year 2 had a lovely visit over to church this afternoon as part of our R.E. Work.

It was great to visit church and have the chance to ask questions and explore items that are in the church.

We have been very busy in Reception Sacrament! We have had lots of fun making new friends and exploring the different areas of our classroom. This week, in PE we have been practicing our balancing skills. 
 

We have been working hard to ensure we strive to lead by example in Year 6, focusing on our learning attitudes, behaviours and general skills. Here we are - hard at work on a Friday morning in 6 Sacrament!

As part of our work on digital manipulation, pupils in year 5 had a fantastic time setting up a photo booth and using various props in their photographs. Lots of laughs and learning!

Year 1 Sacrament went to find our class tree! We will be watching how our tree (a common lime) changes over the year! The children had great ideas of what may happen!

Lovely listening during PE today. We have been improving our skills of hopping, jumping and skipping and learning how to do an under arm throw.
