Mrs Chauhan is the Music Subject Leader at The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School. Music is part of our Arts Faculty which is led by Miss Bonsor.

Every child at The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School Primary engages in quality music education from their entry into Nursery until the end of KS2.  In the early Years, music is incorporated consistently into daily routines and is used to enhance teaching of the core curriculum in addition to being taught as a stand-alone subject.  In KS1 and KS2, pupils participate in weekly music assemblies and a curriculum music lesson.
We use the high-quality resources provided by Charanga and encourage all children to engage in singing, composing and performing. We develop skills of reflection and work collaboratively to discover talents and joy in listening and performing. We provide opportunities for children to participate in wider musical events to experience productions by professional musicians.
We believe that music can have a profound impact upon children’s mental health and try to incorporate music into all aspects of the day to encourage reflection, self-regulation, and creativity.
