Mrs Hilton is the PSHE Subject Leader at The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School. PSHE is part of our SMSC Faculty which is led by Mrs McCaul

Our PSHE curriculum is a progressive curriculum which is designed to deepen and build on the previous years of learning. Its primary purpose is to help our children to respect the beliefs, values and attributes of others and develop their sense of personal identity. At the heart of all our learning is a focus on helping our children to keep mentally, physically and emotionally healthy. Our aim is to support children in facing challenges and barriers they may face as well as help them become well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to society. Our PSHE curriculum aims to improve their knowledge and understanding of health and well-being, relationships and the wider world. We want our children to experience a wide, rich and inclusive education that supports them as they grow, change and develop as individuals. We recognise the importance of providing them opportunities to take risks, make choices and develop their self-esteem and confidence in a fun and safe environment.

As part of our PSHE work, we have been awarded 2 of the Lancashire Equality Mark Badges and are very proud of this important, whole school achievement.
