Class Mass
Today 2S went to the chapel for mass. We enjoyed listening to Father Pawel and answering questions. When we came back to school we had a biscuit and juice with Mrs Finch, Father Pawel and members of the parish. Mrs Southward was really proud of us!

Y1S Dance
Year 1 Sacrament have been using dance to retell The Three Little Pigs. We have been trying to understand how the wolf and pigs felt and then using our facial expressions and actions to re-enact it.
Moving pictures
Year 2 have made moving pictures using levers and sliders. This has gone alongside our topic of The Gunpowder Plot. Ask us what happened and why it failed!
Fun in the snow.
The nursery children loved walking on the school field in the crunchy snow. They touched the snow and talked about how it felt before looking closely at the snow on the bushes. Back in the nursery garden they used sticks to mark make in the ice.

This week year 2 have had a visit from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. They talked to the children about stop, drop and roll, how to make a fire plan, checking smoke alarms in your house and lots of other important information that would help if there was a fire in your home. The children all…

This week in Nursery we made poppy wreaths and walked to the war memorial to place them with the other wreaths. We were very proud of the children’s behaviour.

Walk to the War Memorial

Museum of Lancashire
To support our work in English, Year 5 visited the Museum of Lancashire. We took part in 4 activities which taught us more about ‘top secret’ work during World War 2. We would love to share the secrets with you but sadly we can’t as they are TOP SECRET!!
Remembrance Memorial Walk
